Job Description:

Full service commercial Insurance brokerage firm is seeking an Account Coordinator in their Professional
Liability division to assist in the servicing of prospects and clients and to assist colleagues on various
tasks.

 

Job Functions (To include, but not limited to):
 Work with producers to initiate the renewal process for current clients on a recurring monthly basis. Need to gather the necessary application and supplements to get the process started.
 Help producers communicate correspondence with carriers and underwriters throughout the policy year.
 Responsible for working with producers to market submissions to the marketplace in a very efficient and timely manner.
 Responsible for setting and maintaining activities for clients on a year-round basis. An activity needs to be open from start to finish during the renewal process.
 Creating proposals for producers in a timely and accurate manner for both clients and prospects alike.
 Responsible for drafting binders, invoices, financing contracts and certificates of insurance during the binding process for both clients and new clients.
 Need to maintain the hard files for clients by printing appropriate binders, invoices, policies, etc. that are received from carriers.
 Responsible for keeping the system files organized with all broker correspondence, binders, policies, loss runs etc.
 Will be relied upon to follow up on policy issuance from carriers.
 Policies need to be sent to clients in a timely manner after they have been reviewed for accuracy.
 Responsible for maintaining client checklist throughout the renewal process.

Account Coordinator will also be asked to perform miscellaneous job junctions such as:
 Reporting claims to carriers and tracking acknowledgements in a claims spreadsheet
 Keep client data current in a customized Excel platform
 Assist in creating Excel spreadsheets for various projects and initiatives
 Inputting prospects and data into Client Management System
 Creating certificates of insurance for clients throughout the year
 Assist in the setting of activities and follow-up for producers
 Correctly complete surplus lines forms from carriers

 

Desired Skills & Experience:
 Self-motivated, self-starter, able to identify and tackle a variety of issues.
 Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and direct business activities.
 Ability to maintain communication with the professional liability team.
 High level knowledge of computer and word processing programs such as Microsoft Office Programs and Agency Management Systems.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Salary will be based upon experience.
