Summer 2019 Internship Program

Thompson Flanagan
Summer 2019 Internship Program
About the Program
Looking for a career as an insurance broker? We weren’t either. Thompson Flanagan (“TF”) recognizes that 99.9% (1) of career insurance professionals did not list “insurance broker or underwriter” as their dream career in 3rd Grade. Yet, we were not surprised to learn that in a recent survey of 100 Insurance Brokerage interns, 92% answered “yes” or “possibly” when asked if they could see themselves having a career in the insurance industry or a full‐time job at the firm of their internship (2). According to the same survey, about 75% of interns said their view of the insurance brokerage industry changed since the start of their internship.

The TF Summer Internship program is your invitation to learn the exciting truth about a career path you’ve never considered: the insurance brokerage industry.

Program Overview
Over eight‐weeks, beginning in June and ending in August, the TF Summer Internship program is a paid multi‐disciplinary program designed to complement your classroom training and career goals. The program is designed to introduce qualified and talented students to the many facets of a growing insurance brokerage and the insurance industry as a whole.

Interns will have close access to company leaders while acquiring knowledge of a variety of service and specialty practice areas. The TF Summer Internship Program provides interns with an opportunity to rotate across four insurance product segments: executive liability, professional liability, property & casualty, and employee benefits. Interns will work side‐by‐side with Thompson Flanagan professionals to experience unfiltered access to the role of an insurance broker, producer, and account manager for preeminent law firms and private equity firms across the country.
